Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a modern approach to medicine that brings back the timeless values of trust, relationship, and accessibility. Instead of relying on insurance to dictate care, our DPC model operates through a simple, affordable membership. This allows us to focus on what matters most - your child’s health.
Think of it like a membership to your pediatrician. You pay a flat monthly fee, and in return, you get unlimited visits, direct access, and the kind of care that used to exist when clinicians had time to actually sit with patients and listen. No insurance hoops, no rushed appointments—just real care.
-
With our membership-based model, you can expect:
Longer, unrushed appointments: traditional pediatric offices offer, on average, 15 minutes with your pediatric provider. With our model, we are able to offer longer appointments to ensure we address all of your questions and concerns.
Easy access to your pediatric team: as a member, you will receive your clinician’s cell phone number and email address so that you can communicate directly with them via phone, text, or video.
Transparent pricing: no surprise bills or hidden fees - just clear, predictable costs and an all-inclusive membership.
Comprehensive care: from wellness checks to chronic condition management, we’re here for your child every step of the way.
Convenience: need a doctor’s note? advice on a minor issue? advice outside of standard office hours? Our model saves you the hassle of scheduling an in-person visit for any quick need that can be address by phone or text.
Privacy: we’re not required to send visit notes or diagnoses to an insurance company to justify care. That means more privacy, more trust, and more freedom to focus on what truly matters: your child’s health and well-being. It’s care without gatekeepers—and conversations that stay confidential.

Our membership plan covers a wide range of services to give your family peace of mind.
Routine wellness visits: growth and development monitoring, preventative care, in-office lab testing, etc.
Unlimited office and telehealth visits: there is not limit to how often you can see us, and no additional fee for visits. Your membership covers them all.
Same-day or next-day sick visits: because we limit the number of patients in our practice, you will never have to wait days or weeks for an appointment.
Chronic condition management: expert support for chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies, ADHD, acne, and more.
Unlimited communication with your clinician: call, text, or email with questions or concerns anytime - no need for a separate visit or additional copays or fees.
Quick documentation: need a doctor’s note for school, work, or daycare? We’ll get it to you promptly, often without needing an office visit.
Coordination of care: referrals and collaboration with specialists when needed.
School and sports physicals: traditional insurance generally does not cover sport physicals or preop physicals - our model does, ensuring your child is healthy and ready for activities.
Newborn home visits: bringing care to you during the precious early days. We come to you for well baby visits until your baby is 2 months old.
School support: we provide assistance with requesting in-school accommodations (such as a 504 plan or an IEP)

At Mercy Grace Pediatrics, we partner and work with you. We do not work for insurance companies and are therefore not limited by their abundant regulations. We do not believe that insurance companies should dictate the healthcare that your family receives.
Your membership fee should not be considered insurance. While we don’t bill insurance directly, we will send your insurance information to the laboratory or radiology department to cover any your child’s diagnostic testing, if needed. You will also need health insurance in case your child needs to see a specialist, receive emergency care, or is hospitalized.
-
There are no visit fees or copays and most procedures are included in your direct primary care membership. If you receive any specialty procedures that do have a charge, we will inform you of the total cost before you receive care. We believe in full transparency of health care costs.
-
Absolutely. Mercy Grace Pediatrics is designed to be both high-quality and affordable. Our monthly membership fee is often less than what families already pay in copays, urgent care visits, and time lost trying to navigate the traditional system. With direct access to your clinician, same- or next-day appointments, and no surprise bills, you’ll likely find this model saves you time, money, and stress in the long run. Plus, no dealing with insurance red tape means you get more personalized care for less hassle.

Yes! As a member, you’ll have direct access via text, call, or email—no call centers, no phone trees, no waiting days for a nurse to call you back or for someone to relay your message. When you’re worried about your kid, you deserve answers in a timely manner from someone who knows your child.
-
Often, yes! Many families are able to use their Health Savings or Flexible Spending Accounts for the membership fee. We can give you a receipt for reimbursement—just check with your plan.
While we are a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly, we’re happy to provide superbills—detailed receipts you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Superbills include the necessary diagnostic and procedure codes your insurer may require. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan’s benefits.
If you'd like a superbill after your visit, just let us know—we’ll make sure you have what you need.

We offer full spectrum pediatric care, from the newborn period through the college years (0-24)

We’re not rushed, we’re not boxed in by insurance requirements, and we’re not a revolving door of providers. Your child sees the same clinician every time. We take the time to really know your family, offer whole-person care (body, mind, and spirit), and give you the kind of access and trust that’s almost unheard of in today’s system.

In traditional pediatric practices, providers often manage patient panels of 2,000 patients or more, which can lead to long wait times, rushed visits, and limited access.
At Mercy Grace Pediatrics, we’re doing things differently.
As a direct primary care practice, our panel will be intentionally limited to around 250 patients. This allows us to offer personalized, relationship-centered care with same- or next-day access, longer visits, and direct communication when you need it most.
Your child isn’t just a chart number here—they’re truly known and cared for.
